No person shall throw an abandoned hoop skirt into any street or on any sidewalk, under penalty of a five- dollar fine for each offense.
So, I guess this means if hoops skirts ever come back into style then we better be careful with them. No hankie-pankie in the streets.... :)

Where did you find this? I can't stop giggling.
There is actually a website that lists stupid laws in the different states. I was planning on putting up one a day, but we know how that goes. I will post the next one today!
