More Dumb Laws

In Kalamazoo, Michigan:

It is against the law to serenade your girlfriend.

So guys, no singing in the streets. :) Obviously that is not a good way to get out of the dog house...try flowers.

Next Stupid Law

It is illegal to paint sparrows to sell them as parakeets.

So people put away your paintbrushes. The sparrows have rights too.

The next stupid law

No person shall throw an abandoned hoop skirt into any street or on any sidewalk, under penalty of a five- dollar fine for each offense.

So, I guess this means if hoops skirts ever come back into style then we better be careful with them. No hankie-pankie in the streets.... :)

Here is a fun one and it helps with the previous post...

It is illegal for a man to scowl at his wife on Sunday.

So the wife can get her hair cut on Sunday and the man can't scowl at her or they can sue each other. :)

Makes sense to me.

A woman isn’t allowed to cut her own hair without her husband’s permission.

Can you imagine the husband that would file charges against his wife that cut her hair????
